(Per United Press Association.) Trentham Rifle Range, Feb 28 The Auckland Match was fired first. At the 203 yards range Milroy, of Nelson, and Barnett, of Takaka, made possibles. In the §00 yards" range of tbe Auckland Matcb, Sofii-ig (.Dunedin), and Mclver (Wellington) put up the poaYeo (Auckland). Milroy (Nelson), Jackson senr (Wellington), and Arthur Ballinger (Petone) were the top scorers in the two ranges, with 67. The 600 yards was co'rfipleted early in the afternoon. Manssen was the first prize winner in the match prize list. Auckland Match, 200, 500 and 600 yards,? shots, 80 prizes, value £100:— Manssbn, Nelson, .. .. £5 99 Judd, Karori, .. .. £4 99 Perry, Rivertdn .. .. £4 98 Thorpe. The 600 yards range of the Wellington Match (600 and 700 jards, 10 shots) was fired, and was concluded by tea time. There were no possibles, but Frank (Nelson), Dulcy (Dannevirke), Halliday (Karori), and Henderson (Waimakariri) each put on 48. A R Ayson (Murihiku), Rennie and Lester (Christchurch), each made 47. The 800 yards continuous match was started.
