Per United Press Association, I TEIRRIBLE DISASTER New York, Feb 17 An electric train on the New York Central Railway fell over an em bankment at Broux Park, and fifty passengers were killed and many injured. The wrecked cars took fire. Received Feb 18, 9*55 p.m New York, Feb 18 The railway accident at Bronx Park was apparently due to the high rate of apeea at which the train was travelling round a curve, causing the rails to spread. The cars were overturned, and fell on their sides. but the couplings still held, and some of the coaches were dragged for a furlong. Many of t^e passengers fell through the windows, and were crushed between the cars and the permanent way, while others were electrocuted by being - brought into contact with live wires.
