A COACH ACCIDENT

Christchurcb, Feb 17 An accident happened to the Kaikoura and Waiau coach yesterday. Just after leaving the Conway cutting, one of the horses became rsstive and got across the pole. The team became unmanageable, and the belt came out, and the horses got away with the forecarriage. The driver, Saxtou, was injured in the calf of the leg, as the ironwork of the brake inflicted a oasty wound, and*he is in a very low condition through the loss of blood, two of the passengers were thrown out of the coach, but escaped injury. The coach was seriously damaged, and arrived at Waiau three and a half hours late.
