WOMEN'S CONVENTION
Received Feb 14. 10.34 p.m London, Feb 14 A groat women's convention took place at Caxton Hall, Westminster, when those assembled expressed profound indignation because no allusion was made in the King's Speech to women's suffrage. They demanded that the House of Commons should give precedence to the question. Eight hundred Suffragettes, headed by Mrs DesDard, marched to the House of Commons, with tho view of presenting their resolution to Sir H C Bannerman, singing 'Gory Hallelujah!" The Police tried to disperse the procession close to Westminster Abbey, but the bulk of the Suffragettes oontrived to reach the entrance to the Houses of Parliament, .nd clamorously d at.aed to see Sir El C Bannerman, the Premier. After much uproar and many skirmishes witb the police, fifty-six women, including Mrs Despard, Dhristabel Sylvia, and Perkhurst,
