Wellington, Janu«ry 1. The Proviucial Championship Meeting of the Wellington centre oJ fche New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association took place, to-day', 11. E. Kerr put up ci fine performance in the one mile walk champioxishif events winning in 6 minutes 2(: seconds; this equals the world's amateur record, and establishes a New Zealand record. In the handicap three mile walk Kerr won by half a lap in 22 minutes 38 2<f*th seconds, which is a New Zealand amateur record. The Championship events resulted as follows: — One mile walk : H E Kerr 1, P J Fitzgerald 2 ; won by three hundred yards; time 6.26, One Hundred yards: Henderson 1, T Goodbehere 2,' E Fisher 3; time J.O l-sth seconds. Half mile run: J Bradbury 1, W Gosling 2 ; time 2.3 3-sfch. One hundred and twenty yards hurdles: A Hallyau 1, L McKay 2, A C Williams 3: time 17 seconds. Two hundred and twenty yards flat: H Henderson 1, E Fisher 2. J Wilton 3;' time 23 3-sfch seconds. One mile run : J Bradbury 1, W Gosling 2, A C Murray 3; time, 4.50 Four hundred and forty yards run : E Fisher 1, T W Goodbehere 2. J Wilton 3; time 52 2-sth seconds. G Thomason, with 36 feet 5 inches, and 88 feet 8 inches respectively, won he putting of shot and the hammer throwing evenfo.
