Received October 18, 8 p .ra. Melbourne, October 18. Betting is dull. Poisedon continues favorite for the Caulfield at seven to two. Solution did a good gallop to-day, and has firmed to four to one. The anticipations in the "Times" are: — Poiaedon, Solution, Simoda, lolaire; in the "Australasian," Bavin, Poisedon, Mira, Booian, Wandin ; in the "Leader," Poisedon, Demas, Mira. Destruction has returned to Sydney. Flemington, October 18. Charles Stuart, Lord Fitzroy and Benbow did nine furlongs in 2min 3secs; Dynamite ten furlongs in 2min 229ecs: Infanta six furlongs in lmin 19secs; and Lady Wallace did strong work. In the betting Poisedon is backed down to seven to two..for the Caulfield, Solution has eased to five, Demas is well backed now at ten, 800 ran 12, Czarovitch 6, Charlea Stuart 20. Mira, Melodeon and lolaine. A thousand to thirty has been taken on Lord Fitzroy. Solution made a most'attracting gallop to-day, doing ten furlongs in the exceptional time of 2min B?isecs. Moore " rides Delaware for the Cup. Mensehikoff did six furlongs in lmin 16 l 4secs.
