Of the M.D. 'snapped at Edinburgh the other day, five hailed from New Zealand, namely, R; G. W. Adams, W. Andejson, A. 0. Begg, Alfred Nolan Pell, and Alexander Moore. Dr. Adams and Dr. Fell were commended for their theses, and Dr. Moore was highly commended.
According to "Table Talk' (Melbourne), Mr J. C. Williamson's early retirement from active service in tbe theatrical enterDrisea which
have developed under his personal control is predicted.
The death is announced of Mrs Kate Kelly, for years she was connected with the Thorndon House business at Wellington.
Miss Ainsley describes how she became a singer in an article in "Tatler. " She warmly acknowledges her debt of gratitude to Madame Melba, who has played the part of a fairy godmother to the young Singer.
The death at Adelaide is announced of Mr O. Flavell Hay ward, the well known musical leader of the Brescians.
The Picton Press announces the death of Mr Isaac Landall, at Dieffenbach, Pelorus Sound. Deceased for some years resided at Oollingwood, Golden Bay.
