The Chambers supporting the resolution included Blackburn, Bristol, Burnley, Derby, Dublin, Dundee, Croydon, Halifax, Leitb, Nottingham, Sheffield, Swansea, Madras, Walsall. Tho3e againat included Barnsley, Bradford, Manchester, Oldham, Sunderland, and York, and the Chambers of Bengal, Bombay; neutrals, London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Portsmouth, and SVarrington. The representatives of commerce, by a large majority, adopted a resolution advocating the Advisory Imperial Council to consider Imperial interests, especially promoting international trade.
