FANCY DRESS CARNIVAL.

This even ing, commencing at eight, a grand fancy dress carnival will commence at the Palace Skating Rink. Over sixty entries have been received and tbe management have offered prizes for lady's most original costume, gentleman's most original costume, funniest dressed skater; best sustained character, and tho belle of the fink. The grand march will commence at eight o'clock; - A charge of one shilling will be made for, admission and there will bo reserved seats at two shillings. ; There was a large attendance at the Palace $katirig Rink last evening. At nine o'clock a very successful practice of the grand march was held, and those who had the opportunity of seeing the various figures performed were unanimously of opinion that the Carnival to-night will be one of the most strikingly beautiful human panoramas eveT presented to a Nelson public.
