THE KAISER'S ESCAPE.

The Emperor of Germany arranged reveral weeks ago to pay a short visit to one of his country residences, Urviile Castle, a few miles from Metz, and not far from the French frontier. Hie Majesty's arrival there was timed for May 12th, and preparations for a worthy reception of the Emperor had been, proceed ing in the neighborhood of Urville Castle for sonic time. In these circumstances the police naturally attached great importance to the discovery of a considerable amount of dynamite in the forest of Kurzel, in the immediate vicinity of Urville Castle. The dynamite found in this sylvan place of concealment would suffice to blow up the entire castle. Further investigation led to the discovery that five foreigners had been discovered in the neighborhood during the past week. These foreigners were immediately arrested as suspicious persons, and it turned out they were all known to the police, not only as anarchists, but adherents of a body of international Nihilists, who perpetrate deeds of violence against crowned heads and prominent tradesmen. This is all that has leaked out regarding the affair, apparently owing to the efforts of the local authorities to maintain strict secrecy.
