" Wellington, July 10. A heavy gale swept over Wellington to-day, and seriously inconvenienced the shipping. Several vessels in the harbor dragged their anchors for a considerable - t distance; JThe steamer Piako, which was joui'ueying from Blenheim, was thrown up on the beach at Fitzroy Bay, near Pencarrow Head. The persona who wero on board are safe at the lighthouse.
