A MOMENTO.

The St. Helena Maternity Hospital in Auckland, which was to have been opened by the late Premier on his arrival from Australia, has started work without any formal opening. There is at present accommodation for 13 patients. An interesting memento of the proposed opening ceremony had been prepared for presentation to Mr Seddon. This consisted of a key made out of Thames silver. It was enclosed in a handsome casket bearing an inscription. The key has now been inscribed in black mourning letters, "In meiiionam, June IQ, 1306," and embel--1 lished with ivy leaves: , The casket 5 has been forwarded to Mrtj Seddon.
