DECREASE IN SHEEP IN OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD.

In 1895 America and Russia both bad 100,000,000 shee. In 1905 they each showed a total of 80,000,000, or a decrease of 40,000,000 between the two countries. In the same period England, Germany -and France decreased in their flock 5,000,000, while tbeArgentine increased 4o, ooo, ooo. In 1891-5 the Argentine returns were 85,000,000; in 1905 125,000,000. this great increase almost compensates for the deorease referred to* but owing to disease in* the sheep it is said the Argentine flocks must go back to not more than 100,000,000. Unfortunately for this part of the world while this decrease is taking place their meat is being forced on the English market at low rates, and the value of our mutton and lamb is suffering accordingly, find no doubt for the next year or two our export values will remain low;
