Aucldand, Februarp 13. f The first sheep fair of the season was j held to-day, when there was a large attend- , ance of buyers. The sheep sent in compared very favorably with those of last s year. The price of ewes was slightly S better, but wethers were pretty much the \ same. Satisfactory prices were realised. r Lincoln ewes, from C. T. Barriball, of Waiuku, brought 255, and crossbred wothers were sold at 17s 3d. The highest priced ram (Lincoln) sold was 8£ guineas, from C. T. Barriball, Waiuku, to J, Morrison. Lambs sold to 12s.
