ASSISTED IMMIGRANTS.
Wellington, September 44. The High Commissioner, reporting on the operation of Government assistance to immigrants, states that j during the year ended 24th of March 2,031 persons were approved, and 1750 embarked for New Zealand, possessing £172,631. Under previous conditions 3,091 persons came to New Zealand in eleven years, bringing £62,350. . -
