[By Telegraph. — From Our Own Correspondent. ] Wellington, September 14. The chief amendments made in the Teachers' Superannuation Bill by the Education Committee are in clause 12. It is proposed that female contributors may retire after fifty, instead of fifty-five years, and that an original member shall be entitled to receive from the fund an additional allowance to that fixed by the Pill computed as follows:— Namely, one one hundred and twentieth part, and the total salary received by him during all the years, of his service before the commencement of the Act. The Attorney-General has intro duced in the Legislative Council a Bill to provide for the licensing of land agents. It provides that on and after January Ist, 190 G. no one must carry on business as a land agent without a license, for which application must be made to the local authority. The license must he granted by a local authority, unless two-thirds of the members declare that tho applicant is i«ot a proper

person to receive a license. The Bill also provides that ty^^H money received by a land agent in^^H respect of any sale of land must be^^H applied (1) in payment of th^^^l expenses, commission and otheij^^H charges incidental to the sale; (2) ii^^H payment of any moneys owing to the^^H land agent by the person for. whon^^H the land was old ; (3) in payment the balance to such person, or as hfl^^l may direct, and until such payment^^H the balance must ba paid into a bank^H to a general cr separate trus^^H account. Every land agent who^^H commits a breach of this section -jj^^H liable to a tine not exceeding .^f^^^| Acconnts must be tendered withi^^^J 14 days after the sale. For wrongfu^^H conversion or the rendering of false^^H accounts aland agent is liable to tw^^H years' imprisonment with hard labo^^^^J and if he fails to apply trust money^^H as provided by the measure hi^^^J license is to be cancelled. If a persor^^H carries on business as a land agen^^H be is liable to a fine not exceedinfjjQm £50.
