DOVEDALE.

September 1. A deep gloom has been cast ovei our little community by the unex pected death of Mrs Jesse Parkin son, one of the oldest residents. The deceased lady seemed in her usual health until abont 7 p.m. on Tues day, when she was seized with i paralytic stroke, the shock of which broke a blood vessel on the brain, and caused her death within a few hours. Mrs Parkinson was one of those quiet, earnest women, whose influence for good can scarcely be calculated, and her presence at a\: our gatherings will long be missed. She leaves a number of sons anc daghters who, with her husband, have the deep sympathy of all whe knew her. The funeral, this after noon, was very numerously attended, even though the weather was unfavorable, all wishing to show the last mark of respect to one so highlj esteemed.
