" ' j The Alexander will leave Wellington for Nelson at 5 p.m. to-day-and proceeds to West Coast ports tomorrow at 9 a.m. The Charles Edward arrived from Westport yesterday morning, and sails for Wanganui and Wellington at 5 p.m. to-day. The Waverley arrived from Wei- j lington yesterday, and is to sail for West Coast ports at 2 p.m. to-day. The Lily sails for Motuka at _ p.m. to-day, returning to-morrow morning. The Eotoiti arrives from Wellington this morning, and sails at 6.30 j p,m. for Picton and Wellington. The Maharoa wil leave Motueka for Wellington to-morrow. The Wairoa arrives from Golden Bay to-morrow morning, and sails for Motueka at i. p.m. The barque Alexa, from Newcastle, was towed into port yesterday by the Alexander. In the entrace, the ship's tow rope parted, and the anchor was let go till the Alexander came alongside and made last, when she brought the Alexa j safely in. The Alexa has 200 tons of coal on board for the City Council, the balance of the cargo, we understand, being for Wanganui.
