STARTLING ACCIDENT.

Woodville, September 9. A large brake, with five horses, was standing at Maharatara Eailway Station yesterday, when the noise of the train startled them. The animals bolted on to the line, when the leading horse was cut nearly in half by the train. The reßt of the horses were thrown with the vehicle into an adjoining ditch, and escaped without any injury.
