London, Januray 5. The King and Queen are visiting the Duke of Devonshire at Chatworth, and will remain till Saturday. A resident of Rockhamptoi, in a column letter to the "Times," advocates an Imperial scheme of colonisation to settle young married people in Australia. Melbourne, January 6. The Federal revenue for the past six months is £200,000 less than for the corresponding period of the previous year.
