FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.

COURT ROBIN HOOD, A.O.F. The usual half-yearly summoned meeting of this Court was held in the Foresters' Hall last evening, when Bro, T. H. Jones presided. The auditors' report and balance sheet were read and adopted. The report stated that during the halfyear the sum of £166 6s had been paid in sick money, being considerably less than usual. The funds of the Court now amount to £6989 11s, of which sum £6924 8s 2d belongs to the sick fund. During the past half-year ten new members have been initiated, making the total number of members on the books 286. Dr. Hudson was re-elected Court Surgeon, and Bros. W. T, Bond, E. Finney, and H. Bethwaite as delegates to the District meeting. A long discussion took place on a report from the District re reducing benefits, aod it was ultimately decided that the delegates should oppose the proposed reduction. Bros. T. H. Jones and W. V. Salter were re-elected auditors. The following officers were duly installed: C.R., Bro. Kitching; S.C.R., Bro. H. Bethwaite; E.S., Bro. C. Cheel; S.W., Bro. R. Nicol; J.W., Bro. P. B. Field; 5.8., Bro. G. Cook; J. 8., Bro. W. Millar. Bro. W. Cheel was presented with a P.C.R's sash, and his name was ordered to be placed on the merit board. Bro. A. Dodson, District Treasurer, paid an official visit to the Court, and was thanked for his attendance.
