NELSON AMATEUR SWIMMING CLUB.
At an enthusiastic meeting of the above Club, held in Mills' Eoom last evening, Mr C. W. Tonkipson (Captain of the Club) presiding, it was decided to postpone the sports until the 27th inst., when an excellent programme will be provided, many handsome trophies having been promised. The Secretary was instructed to issue programmes, and distribute them to the various club-centres of the Colony. Seven new members were elected. The Secretaryship being vacant, owing to the resignation of Mr F. Oully, Mr L. Jackson was elected to fill the vacancy. The following officials were elected for the forthcoming sports' meeting : — Handicappers, W. Batchelor, O. Graham and the Secretary ; Clerk of Course, C. Graham j Costume Stew r ajd, 0, J. Todd,
