As soon as her engines were started abead the port propellor struck some object, which it is generally supposed was the anchor of the Harbor Board's dredge. The smash completely disabled the port propellor, and it is also probable that tbe shaft is bent. The steamer was brought back to the wharf under the starboard engine, and the necessary repairs will be taken in hand to day.
