NELSON LADIES' SWIMMING CLUB SPORTS.
The sports in connection with the Laides Swimming Club were held in the Marine Baths on Saturday afternoon. The following are the results :
Champion : Beatrice Hannigan, (Silver eerviette ring), Mr Roger's prize.
Beginners' Race : E. Robinson, 1, (silver brooch), Miss Spear's prize; L. Ballenger, 2, (silver pen), Mr Clifford's prize. Race under 14 : V. Bamford, 1, (book), Mr R. Hamilton's prize; D. Booth, 2.
Egg and spoon race : Jean Hamilton, (book), Miss Gibson's prize. Long. dive: B. Hannigan 1, (framed picture) Mrs Mules's prize; G. Spear 2. Twice length of baths : A. J. Hamilton 1, (silver photo frame), Mrs Blackett's prize.
Fancy Swimming : G. Spear, (gold and greenstone pin), Mr Deck's prize.
Open to all comers : J. Hamilton, 1, (gold brooch), Mr Kerr's prize; B. Hannigan, 2. Neat header: B. Hannigan, 1; G. Spear, 2.
Consolation race: May Hamilton (silver photo frame), Mrs Robinson's prize.
