Sculling Championship.
Received March 8, 5.18 p.m. ' Sydney, March 8. The race for the sculling championship was rowed to-day. From a good start Pearce led the first mile, Tresseder rowing well within himself, and keeping within easy range. At the end of a mile Tresseder shot to fhe front, and established a long lead which he maintained without effort,, winning by seven lengths. Time, 2mins. 25}_secs. Pearce was overmatched and Tresseder was practically never asked to race from start to finish. " . / '.-'.. ■;
