CHAMPION SPORTS MEETING.

Splendid Records. (Per United Press Association.) - Dunedin, March 1. r. ■ The New Zealand Amateur Athletic -Association's fourteenth championship meeting took place at Garisbrook this afternoon. The weather was perfect, and the attendance goodjj though smaller than at the last championship meeting held here.. The track was in excellent order, and some excellent performances were, put up, the standard being beaten in; the 100 yards, 200 yards, 440 yards flat, 440 yards hurdles, mile walk, and long jump, while in the high jump the standard was reached. Webster, Wellington, ran very well in the 440 yards flat, winning easily in 50 2-sth seconds, and equalling the New Zealand record for the distance. If he had been pushed a fresh record would almost assuredly have been put up. „.-■■'.'■ „ . Buck also performed very well in the long jump, his best effort being only 2_/£ inches less than the New Zealand record.
