Obituary.
Invebcabgii-l, January 16. Mr P. P. Joyce, editor of the In- i vercargill "News" for 4 years, and; formerly representative of the Wallace and Awarua electorates in Parliament, died suddenly this morning from heart disease. He was at Ballarat and Bendiffo in the early days of the diggings, and arrived in South land about 1857. Dunedin, January 16. Mr John Watt, aged "73, an old resident of Goodwood, died suddenly j yesterday.
