Eruption St. Vincent.
Received October 20, 10.47 p.m. New York, October 20. La Soufriere's concussion on Thursday was "heard at Barbaaoes. The arrowroot fields at St. 'Vincent are devastated, and wide areas of tillage, which were considered outside the volcanic zone, have been buried by hot sand. Many residents of Georgetown, when journeying to Kingstown, were exhausted by hunger andthirst.
