A good presence always predisposes an audience in favor ot a speaker, and remains a heavy handicap in favor of the man who can make good bia right tc a pleasing and impreseive manner ; but physical promise only adds to the completeness of the overthrow of a man who is & noodle. A distinct enunohtion, a dear and resonant voice, coolness and Belf-pdesession— whiob, .however, do not take liberties with an audlenje, but are useful only for securing I perfect self-command and natural gs stores — these are ihe chief physical resources of the Bucpeaaf ol spender, lhat they are not by an y means esse itiat- must be known to every man who wiio has a wide acquaintance with popular speakers and preachers. Several of the moßt del! ,htf ul preachers of the century have been almost unintelligible to those who were not accustomed to their mannerisms or physical .deficiencies. The gift of elcqr-cce is happily oiten, but by no nieans alwayß> aoco japanie^ by a melodious voice, while the dramatia power of gesture is a ratity in this country. The full ezt cut of qaalifioations, for which acy audience should look, and without which the modest orator will keep in the background, are clear thinking, a dear marshalling of words, clear utterance, and full aoquaictance with the subject. The qualifications which commend Saratura Tea to the publio are its parity, ~ strength, and f ragrscoe.
