Mr Wilson Heaps, S.M., at Takaka, granted pensions for the full amount — £18 each— to the following, says the " News " : —John Saxon, aged 96 ; Amelia E, Saxon, aged 67 ; Benjamin Lovell, aged 65 ; Robert Trood, aged 76 ; Mary Charles, aged 67 ; Harriet Langford, aged 80 ; i'fred Fletcher, aged 66 ; Henry Mankelow, aged 69 ; George Browa, aged 74 ; George A. Haadcock, aged 69; Isabella Spittal, aged 77, and John Sladen, aged 65. One application was refused, and eight were adjourned.
