WEDDING BELLS.

On Wednesday last January 11th, a wedding took place at the residence of Mr Charles A. Baigent, Pigeon Valley, which created a good deal of interest in the district, ' where the brides has many relatives. The parties were Miss Ellen May Baigent, youngest daughter of the late Mr Arthur Baigent, and Mr Robert Cameron, of Snowden, Wairarapa. The ceremony was performed by the Rev J. H. MacKenzie, of Nelson, the bride being given away by her brother, Mr C. A. Baigent, Mr Martin Baigent acting as best man. The bride looked very pretty in her becoming travelling dreßS and hat. The bridesmaids, sisters of the bride, wore gold brooches set with, pearls, the gifts of the bridegroom, and the groom's gift to the bride was a gold watch and chain. Many useful and ornamental presents were received from friends by the young couple, who after the ceremony, drove away to town on their way to the Hot Lakes. The departure was marked with the usual demonstrations of goodwill in the way of showers of flowers, &c. The assembled guests were entertained in a marquee.
