Reception to the Governor.
A MEETING OF SUNDAY SCHOOL * SUPERINTENDENTS. « — - — A meeting of Sunday School superin tendents and others interested in the assembly of children to take part in the procession on the oocasion of the visit of the Governor was held in the City Council Chamber last evening, when the Rev J. P. Eempthorne occupied the chair, and the meeting was an enthusiastic one. It was resolved that the Sunday Sehoo] children be invited to join the procession, and that they meet in Halifax-street on the morning of the procession, at 10.30, and form in order according to their classes ai the public schools. In reference to the singing, the meeting decided that the matter be left in charge oi Mr A. P. Lucas. It was also decided to ask the Procession Committee to reserve a prominent position for the children, and also a good place at the Church steps. The Revs J. P. Kempthorne, J. Snee and E. C. Isaacs, Mr Fathers, and the Superintendents of the various Sunday schools were appointed to marshal the children. It was resolved that the children be provided with toi-toi plumes, and that friends in the country having this grass be asked to kindly send bunches to the Committee not later than Wednesday morning, January 11th, leaving same at Mr Father's shop, in Trafalgar street. The Superintendents of the different Sunday schools were asked to impress upon the scholars the necessity of attending to honor the Governor.
