The > text mentioned on the card is even less complimentary. It is from the [ fifteenth chapter of Proverbs, and : reads thus : — " A soft answer turneth away wrath ; but grievous words * stir up anger. Tbe tongue of the ' wise useth knowledge aright ; but the mouth of fools poureth out fooli isbness. A wholesome tongue i 3 a ' tree of life ; but perverseness therein j is a breach in the spirit. A fool despiseth his father's instruction ; but he that regardeth reproof is prudent." The lady admirers of the little Left Wing might have selected a more complimentary text than this ! which refers so pointedly to "the I mouth of fools "; though it is ques- | tionable whether they could have ', picked a truer one.
