THE SEAMEN'S CLAIMS.
In our Thursday's issue we gave particulars of the arrargem°nt arrived at by representatives of the Shipowners and Beamen'd Union touching the recommendations of the Conciliation Goori recently held in Wellington. It must be assumed that this argument was made subject to ratification by the bodies concerned, for we learnt ?e)terday that at a meet ing of the Seamen's Union held at Wellington on Thursday nigbt, it was decided not to concede anything up'm the award of tho Conciliation Coutt. A Press Association telegram received last night, however, indicates that the seamen ere williDg to accept the award.
