-An ordinary meeting cf this Board wai held last night. Present' Messrs Eyeretl (cb air nun) Pattie, Pip9r, Ei-ison, Baigent, Talbot, Beufce and P Best. It was reported that the man had been written to threatening proceedings unless he provided for his wife and family. In another case the Believing officer reported that a man who was before the Court a cotlple of months ago, and was now in work At Wellington, bad only sent 30s to his wife in the two months. It was resolved that the , matter be left in the hands of the sub-Com-mittee with power to take action; A letter $as received from a man who" had been in receipt of rations, but whose h&ra'e h'afi bfe&h removed on the ground that he frecffientotl public houses. The man said he had not known it was a crime to drink a glass of beer given him by a friend, and asked that rations might still be given him. The matter was left in the hands of the Believing Officer. It waß reported that a man now at the Hospital was not a fit inmate of that institution, but that he declined to go to the residence of hia son-in-law, in a distant pa>t of the Colony he having teen offered a horn c there. The matter was left in the hands of the SubCommlvtee witb power to act. The Hospital report showd tLat 88 patients were under treatment in the Institution during Fobruary, twelve having been admitted during the month, but eeven were discharged oared, and two as relieved, while 3 died so that at tbe end of tbe month there were 26 patients in the Hospital. There are ha Infectious cases under treatment* 4fter discussion it was reßolved tbat Dr Boor be appointed consulting Burgeon for two months at bis present salary by way of a compliment, on bia retiring after bo many years servioe. Tenders for supplies were then opened. Ft r the supply of ale and pirter, tbe tender of Messrs Lodaon and Son was accepted (only one tender received) ; for the Bupp'y of bread I and floor, that of Mr J. Anstice was ao- j cepttd (only one received) ; for the supply of milk, Mr T. York's tender was accepted, (two tenders received) : for tbe supply of meat, Mr Trask's tender wjß accepted, (two lenders reoeived) ; for »t« supply of firewood, f£i J. StaDton'd tender was accepted, (only boo tender received} : for tbe sapply of ooal, tbe tender of Messrs Neale and Haddow was accepted, (two tenders reoeived) ; for groceries?, the tender of Mr Rongbton was accepted, (two tenders received) ; for providing for funerals, the tender of Mr Shone was aocppled, (two tendets were received.)
