Canterbury v. Queensland. Chsistchoboh, August 20. The intercol jnial football matoh Canterbury v. Queensland was played this af ernoon at Lancaater Park, which was in good oondition, and the weather waß fine. There were 1500 spectatora present. The Rama was won by Canterbury by 16 points to 14, after a olose tues!e. The play was very open, and was enjoyed by the spectators. For the home team Lorimer, Robilliard, O'Brien, and Johnßton scored tri?B, Appleby converting two of them. For the visitors Milne (2) and Evanß (2) scored tries, Currie converting one of them. Mr F. T. Evana aoted as referee.
