I Startling Developments. SxmjßY, September 29. 1 Mr Meagher, on being interviewed, Baid that Sir J. Balomon's statements were ntterly and absolutely without foundation. He doeß not regard them as serious, bub as the machination of a oratty or disordered brain ; tbe only alternative of that Sir J. Salomons concocted the confession, he Bays, wbb to find biin not guilty on ' tbe grounds of insanity. Dean, Mr Meagher, says, never made any oonfeßsion, and maintained bis innooenoe throughout. Mr Meagher says be firmly believes in Dean's innocence. Sir J. Salomons had booked bis passage to Melbourne, but hae now deoided to etay pending Mr Meagher's statement to the Legislative Assembly on Tuesday, and should he think it neoessary, he will reply in tbe Counoil. ' Mr Meagher bints that there will be some peculiar revelations when he talks.
