Melbodbne, August 15. 3 The Ballarat sensation was before the s Court to-day. The case against the girl i Bonce, charged with forging her father's name 3 to a cbeqae was withdrawn, and Warner, a I clerk, alleged to be an aooomplice, was disi charged, the Bench holding there was no i case. The girl gave evidence tbat she had 3 known Warner for three or four weeks, when , he aßked her to marry him, and stipulated 1 that she should steal and forge a cheque, ) and promised to return the money if her i father consented to the marriage. She cashed 3 the chequ9, which Warner had signed.
