OUTRAGES IN CHINA.

Melbourne, August 14.

A letter haß been received from a lady missionary in China under date of June 24th, who reports that the missionaries in the remotest parts wore flying at that date, and that Mission stations had been destroyed, whioh were chiefly American and Roman Catholic. The fine Mission premises at Chong King were burned, and one of the Su Fin missionaries escaping by himself had all his goods on a boat, whiah the Chinese attaohed, and took everything. The missionary jumped into the water and hung on to the side of the boat, while the Chinese tried hard to kill him by poking him with spears whenever he appeared above the wa'.c-r. He eventually escaped, but it is feared that he will lose his season.
