Alfred Hallis, a settler 56 years of age, left Havelock for his home last night, leading a somewhat fraotions draught horse, and shortly afterwards he was found lying.insensible on the road, olofe to Captain fcusselTs residence; and he died before he oould be conveyed there. It wa9 supposed to ble an aooident, bnt an examination failed to reveal any injury, and death is supposed to .be due to heart disease, from which Hallis suf fered.
