SWEATING IN VICTORIA.

At a largely attended pubiio meeting, resoluti ns were oairied demanding legislation for the abolition of sweating in the tailoring trad* , and denouncing indiscriminate huddling together of large numbers of men, women, and children iv ill ventilated hovels, where they worked long hoard for statvation wages. Some of the speakers Btited that sweating was largely oa the increase in the Oity. A depatation was appointed to wait upon the Government on the subject.
