OPENING OF VICTORIAN PARLIAMENT.
Melbocbnb, May 29. Parliament was opened to-day. The 1 Governor's Speeoh contained notbing of a saipmirg nature. His Excellency exp^esaed a hopj that in the course of events the Mother Country would afford Victoria an opportunity to introduce a Bill to provide for the eketinn of represents ive9 to a Federal Counci 1 . Referring to the tariff question, he made a non-comtnutal 6tatetmn: that a Revision Bi I would shortly be brought down, and a-jnonnoed that tba Charities Bill and the Trades Dispute} Act Amendment Bill and a Bill to amend the Insolvency Liw would be introdnood during the session.
