WRECK OF A FRENCH STEAMER
Madrid, May 26. The French steamer Don Pedro, baund from Letfavre to La Plata, struck a submerged rock off Vigo, on the Coaßt of Spa n, and sank almost immediately. Just a3 the vessel was ' settling down the boilers exploded, killing a large number of those on board. Tbe death toll numbers one hundred a~d three, made up of 80 passenger* and twenty-three of the crew. The captain and twenty-six of the crew are the only survivors.
