The Aorere is exp acted to sail for Patea on Thursday. The Waverby ia due at Patea to-day from Wellington. The Kennedy leaves Wellington to-day for Nelaon, and sails at noon to-morrow for Weat Cjast porta. The Murray, weather permitting, was to leave Weßtport last night for Kaikoura. The Charles Edward leaves Foxton to-day for Wellington and Nelson. The Grafton arrived from Wellington at 7.3J a.m. ye.terday, after a rather stormy passage. She sailed at 8 p.m. for Taranaki and Manukau. The Wainui will arrive from Wellington this morning, and sail at 10 a.m. for Pioton and Wellington. The Mawhera was unable to work cargo at Wellington yesterday through bad weather, and her departure for Pioton and Nelson was consequently postponed till 3 this morning. She will arrive here thia afternoon, and sail at 8 p.m. for West Coast. The Mahinapua was floated oi! tha mud bank at Onehunga on Friday night, and crossed the bar next morning. She readied Wellington on Sunday afternoon. She wa" to go on the Slip there yesterday for an overhaul. The Lady Barkly s.iled for Golden Bay yesterday afternoon. She returns here early to-morrow morning, and sails for Motueka at 9 a.m. Ths Lily sails at 7.30 this morning for Motuefea. The repairs to the ketoh Kestrel are expected to be completed this week. A new keel has beeo plaoed in her, and the bilge on the port side has been newly planked. She is now being caulked and re-coppered. Captain Cameron, who has been to Nelson on two or three occasions in command of the John Bell, arrived by the Grafton yesterday morniDg to take oharge of the Kestrel. The Mount Sirion, which has been ohartered by tbe Uoion S.S. Company for their CaleuttvNcw Zealand trade, is quite a new vessel, and was launched on Maroh 15th by Messrs Workman, Olark & Co , of Belfast. She takes Lloyd's highest olass, and was Bpeoially constructed for M.ssrs Smith and Bervioe, of Glasgow. Her dimen. ions are :— Length, 235 f t; breadth of beam, 43ft Oin. ; and depth of hold, 26ft 9in. moulded. Her groas tonnage is 3230 tons, and Bhe has a large dead weight oarrying capacity. The Mount Sirion has b6en built to class 100 Al at Lloyd's, and also in accordance with the requirements of the British Corporation. The machinery codbjb. of triple expansion engines with cylinders of 23i0., S7in., aod C3in. in diameter, with a length of stroke of 42in. Steam is supplied from two large boilers (of mild Bteel) working at a pressure of 180ib. to the square inoh. Oa her trial trip the Mount Sirion made an average speed of llf knots an hour.
