William Lyon was engaged grubbing stamps ia East Wellington Dißtriot and his wife remonstrated with him for working on Sanday, when the man flew into a fit of 1 anger and haoked the woman with the axe. A daughter attempted to secure the axe, but the father inflicted a severe wound on her neck. Lyon is supposed to be insane.
