Wanganui, May 24. The Wanganui Steeplechase meeting was held to-day. The attend .nee was good, and fine racing witneastd. The re suit 3 were — Flying Stakes— Waiuka 1, Orion 2, The Artist 3. Dividend £1 14. Four others also ran. Wanganui Steepleohaee — Nopera's Tiritea 1. Shore's Booties 2, Belle 3. Five others aIBO started. Dividend £3 10b. Hunter's Steepleouaße — Amalgam 1, Sbddon 2, Hop Bitters 3. Three others started. Dividend £2 7?. Trial Steeplechase— Spreydoa U Langley The Devil 2, Egmont 3. Three o.hera ran. Won by a noee. Dividend, £5. Winter Oats— lrish Twiat 1, The Artist 2, Waiuka 3. Three others started. Dividend, £4 16s. Final Steeplechase —Laoglev the Devil 1, Egmont 2, Spreydon 3. Bop Bitters, Warihi , Raven, Prospeat, Dante, and Barney also started. Dante, Barney, and Prospect torn* bled at the first obstacle, and young Hall, who was ridiog Dante, EUsUined a alight concussion of the brain. Dividend, £4 4s. Hack Flat— Stdgebrook 1, Mongonui 2, Tomboy 3. Ten others ran. Dividend, £73 17s.
