Baron Sir Ferdinand Von MueUer, the weft known botanist, has received a German paper called the " German and AUstra ian Post." which publi hea a statement that the Arctic exploring ship Algier has reached the North Pole, and Baron Mueller is inclined to be ieve that the information is authentic. The paper nays tne Pjlo was reached by means of an alum'nium boat on wheels after a 10. g journey in op nwa er. A long line of porous rocks running from east to west, was met with, and beyond th s formation there was open w>te again That region if said to teem with bird and fish life.
