Charge of Murder.
Inveeoabgill, May 9. At Winton to-day, Minnie Dean, wife of Charles Dean, was arrested on a charge .<pf having on or about the 3rd inst murdered an infant named Eva Hornßby. She was brought before tbe Justices and remanded to the 16th inst to appear at MUtoi, Otago. The arrest was made by Detectives McGrath (Dunedin) and Herbert. The accused has for several years mude a business of keeping infants, and wbb once before the Court on a oharge of neglecting several children under her Care, but was then acquitted. The police are reticient as to details of the present obarge, but it is understood that tbe infant w>;s abont a month old.
