LoNroN, April 4, In cross examination Mr Wilde admit" ted that he was acquainted with tbe young men Taylor, Parker and Atkins. Taylor had introduced him to five young men on separate occasions, to whom witness had given money, but he was not aware that any ot them were gentlemen's servants. He said that he derived pleatmre from being in the cunpa'.y of bright hai py people. Witness had frequently been in Taylor's room. Be was aware that Taylor an I Parker bßil onoe been arreaied, but continued their friendship. Once he toolc Atkins and a youth ramed Pr'oe to Pt>ris ai;d introduced thtm to another youth named Erne3t Scarp, who beoame acquainted with Lord Alfred Doug'a3 when making a voydge to Australia.

His son telegraphed back to hiß father that Wilde was a funny little man. The Marquis Bubatquemlv called at Mr Wiide'd house, where a furious scene took place. The latter denied charges levelled agaimt him, and f bowed the Marquis to the door. The witness wrote to the Marquis complaining that hia wife encouraged bia son's visits. Mr Wilde's friendship with Lady Queen 1 berry and her B"?n remained unbroken.
