RIWAKA ROAD BOARD.

The ordinary monthly meeting of the Board was held on the sth inst; present,- Messrs Bate, Eatchelor, Fry, Macmahon,- and Ryder, A letter was received from Mr W; MiokeU, stating his intention of preventing traffic' tin that- part; of the Little Sydney- bridle track where, as .he alleges, it passes through his property, unless arrangements for compensation be first made. It was resolved to defer consideration thereof until the next Board meeting. ; A cheque for £5 os was received from Mr Henry Baigent as a contribution towards the maintenance of. the Valley road. Mr John Woolf interviewed the Board in respect to certain works, etc, in Marahau, when it, was resolved that permission be granted him ta erect a fence across the un- ; used road to the.north of the Marahau river, and a swiug gate on the road now in use, on i. the boundary line between his property and that of Mr Thomas WoolF; it was also resolved to spend a sum of £3 in repairs to the [.Marahau. mill road, the work' to bis done under j Mr, ; Woolf's direction. Resolved, That tenders, to be Pent in by the, next meeting of the Board, ba invited for forming and gravelling about 1 10 chains on the Swamp road, by Mr George Macmahon's house.
